WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is an honour and pleasure to invite you all to the 57th Annual Meeting of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology to be held in Porto, Portugal, between 8-11 May 2024.

The Local Organising Committee – consisting of national members of paediatric cardiology centres northern, central, and southern Portugal – is dedicated to offering you a great meeting, one that will provide an opportunity for health professionals and researchers to share and discuss research findings, to exchange ideas and insights and to network for collaboration and career development. We are working closely with the AEPC Scientific Committee to create an inspiring and attractive scientific programme with highly prestigious speakers, to address current issues and new challenges in the field of paediatric and congenital cardiology.

AEPC 2024 will take place at the Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, a historic building located in the old city centre Porto, by the Douro River.

Porto is a UNESCO World Heritage site, elected Best City Destination in Europe in 2022, 2017, 2014 and 2012. It is a special city where we feel like strolling around along the river and the sea, wandering in its narrow and winding streets, feeling the hospitality of its people. There is much to explore and enjoy, a unique atmosphere saluted by the famous Porto wine that no one should miss!

Last but not least, annual meetings are made up of people. So please join us for the AEPC 2024 meeting – your participation is essential for a broad exchange of knowledge and ideas within our scientific community.
