Damien Schaffner underwent his pediatric cardiology specialization in Lausanne, Switzerland. After working as a paediatric cardiologist in the Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Hôpital Necker-Enfants maladies, Paris, France, he is now an interventional fellow at the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité, Berlin, Germany.
He is interested in clinical postoperative care, particularly in hemodynamics and catheterizations. He has been a junior member of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology (AEPC) since 2021 and junior member of the working group Paediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care of the AEPC since 2022.
