Junior Members' Party

Nurses & AHP Reception

The Nurses & AHP Reception is an informal, optional and limited-capacity event organised by the Nursing and AHPs Working Group of the AEPC, in an offsite public venue for the gathering of nurses and allied health professionals. Annual Meeting Dinner

The Annual Meeting Dinner is an optional ticketed event organised in an offsite venue, Palacio da Bolsa. The tickets can be purchased through the registration system.

Closing Ceremony

Queima das Fitas |

From 5 to 11 May, Porto will host the Queima das Fitas, a traditional festivity of students in Portuguese universities, also known as the ‘Ribbon burning’ celebration. The week features 12 events, starting with the Monumental Serenata on Sunday, reaching its peak with the Cortejo Académico on Tuesday, when students from the universities and other higher education institutions of the city march through the downtown streets till they reach the city hall, where they are greeted by (and greet back) the mayor. During every night of the week, a series of concerts takes place on the Queimódromo, next to the city's park; here it is also a tradition for the students in the second-to-last year to erect small tents where alcoholic beverages are sold in order to finance the trip that takes place during the last year of their course. The busiest day of the Queima das Fitas will be on Wednesday, 8 May. |
